Mexican Bean Dip Appetizer

I want to share a great appetizer that's perfect for a Super Bowl party or any social gathering. This recipe is a favorite for when my friends and family come over, and I hope you'll enjoy it.

Sis and I are kidless this weekend for Super Bowl Sunday, so it wont be quite as noisy here at game time. We are looking forward to stretching out on our respective loungers with our two dogs and pigging out on finger foods.

Laura and I are having a buffet of our favorite foods, including this dip above. We will graze at the buffet on and off throughout the game. Here is the menu: cocktail wieners, celery stuffed with cream cheese, 5-layer Mexican dip and guacamole, tortilla chips, pickles, and black and green olives.

Have a wonderful game day, however you choose to watch it.

Some people do object to anyone doing anything with their hubs, even linking to them. This recipe really does look scrumptious!

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on February 07, 2013:

Are you Kidding? I love that you put me on your hub. Thank you so much! This is so good for get togethers.

C E Clark from North Texas on February 07, 2013:

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on March 08, 2011:

HMMM?? Plain and Real? I think that makes you perfect though, RH. I tell my twin sister that she's the alpha in this house but she thinks it's me. That's sibling rivalry for yu. When she gets a little demanding or controlling, or is being very strong willed, I kiddingly call her a leprechauness. We have some irish in us. LOL

Kelly Umphenour from St. Louis, MO on March 07, 2011:

Oh geeze I hope so! Though I was getting some complaints about the food. Apparently, my cooking has improved! I quit for a while! This recipe has black beans too, I love them in anything! And they should X out the sour cream:)

My husband refers to me as the "alpha dog" in the family though! Perfect housewife? Never! That is over rated and I am just plain real:-)

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on March 07, 2011:

You got that right Wesman Todd. My dogs, my sis, good eats and a Super Bowl game. Life is great! :)

Linda Rogers (author) from Minnesota on March 07, 2011:

It's a real dietary recipe too RealHousewife. LOL By the way, I almost wrote PerfectHousewife. HMMM, is this a Freudian??

Wesman Todd Shaw from Kaufman, Texas on March 07, 2011:

It don't get no better than that!

Kelly Umphenour from St. Louis, MO on March 06, 2011:

5. and yes there's enough artillery in this recipe to start the July 4th fireworks display and we're still many many months away .....
