EASY Matcha Latte Recipe

All you need is matcha, water, milk and sweetener - then just whip it!

All you need is matcha, water, milk and sweetener - then just whip it!

Basic Matcha Latte Recipe: Simple Ingredients

Matcha, milk, sweetener, and hot water.

  • 1 teaspoon matcha
  • 3/4 cup hot water (does not need to be a rolling boil)
  • 1/4 cup Milk (may substitute with almond milk, soy milk or even rice milk)
  • sweeten to taste (sugar, splenda, honey or agave)

Note: add more milk and less water for a creamier matcha latte. This is an easy adjustment. Skinny latte's use less milk.

Mixing:

Option one: the quick and easy version. Toss everything in a blender and frappe for about 1 minute. Your matcha latte will be smooth and frothy.

Option two:

  • step one: place matcha in a mug and slowly add hot water while whisking with a whisk or chasen.
  • step two: slowly add milk and sweetener while whisking. Work the whisk up in a quick funnel to help create a frothy finish.

Serve and enjoy!
