11. Easy Strawberry Shortcake Recipe

I always look for easy ways to do my cooking, especially since I have matured!

I love biscuits but cannot make them like my mama. I always buy the Pillsbury frozen biscuits in the freezer section at the grocery store. They are just as good as homemade when filled with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

If you like, you can make your own recipe for the baking powder biscuits.

  • 1-12 Package of Pillsbury Grands Buttermilk frozen biscuits
  • Whipped fresh cream
  • Sliced strawberries

  1. Bake the biscuits using the package instructions.
  2. If you like soft sides, place biscuits touching. For crisp sides, place them apart (not touching).
  3. Slice each biscuit in half. Then fill with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.

What Is "Made From Scratch" When Cooking?

"Made from scratch" means when you do not use mixes to cook. A lot of folks use mixes to supplement in place of cooking from scratch. I must confess, and you can see by my recipes, that many times I use mixes!
