Perfect Summertime Treat

Sorbets are a light and delicious refresher in the hot and humid summer months. Happily, fruit sorbets are easy to make and low in calories, too.

  • 1/2 large cantaloupe
  • 3 tablespoons ground sugar, or to taste
  • 1 lemon, juiced


  1. Cut the melon into pieces and then place them in the freezer until they are frozen.
  2. Blend the frozen melon pieces in a blender until you have a smooth puree.
  3. Add the sugar and lemon juice. Mix until well combined.
  4. Refreeze the puree until soft-frozen.
  5. Scoop out and serve.
