How to Make Pumpkin Pie

The recipe is for one pumpkin pie, but if you want two pies, then all you do is double the ingredients. That is what my mother did, which is why there are two pies in the picture. I love when my mother makes pumpkin pie. These two pies were gone in two days. My mother made this pie for my nephew's birthday, and we ate the other one. It was very yummy. Ingredients

  • 1 can pumpkin
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/8 cup molasses

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the can of pumpkin, sugar, salt, and nutmeg. Stir. Add the eggs, milk, cinnamon, ginger, and molasses. Mix together all the ingredients until they are mixed well.
  2. In a pie plate, place the crust. Add the pumpkin mixture to the pie crust. Flute the edges of the crust. Place in the oven.
  3. Bake for 15 minutes at 475 degrees. Then turn down the heat to 350 degrees and bake for 50 minutes.
