Who doesn't love recreating their favorite childhood snacks? My mother loved to bake, and I love to recreate her old recipes. One of my favorites is her no-bake peanut butter oat bars.

Here's how to make this delicious snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 4 cups oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Bring to a boil sugar, butter, and milk. It should take 5 minutes. Take off the stove.
  2. Pour in peanut butter, vanilla, and oatmeal.
  3. Spread in an 8 x 11 pan. Let it solidify, then cut.
