I Love Snickers Bars

Ah, the Snickers bar, that wonderful creation of Mars Incorporated. Roasted peanut and caramel topped nougat enrobed in milk chocolate. A concept of simplicity, confectionary perfection, just pure chocolate and peanutty genius. The creators of this scrumptious masterpiece deserve their great success. Nothing beats a Snickers bar as a quick snack. A cigarette or lottery run to the convenience store is not complete without a snickers bar.

The Most Versatile Candy Bar Ever

The Snickers bar is also the most versatile of candy bars. It can be seen as just being a candy bar, but it can be so much more. Read on, I will open your eyes to the versatility of the Snickers bar.

Snickers Bar as a Dessert

Of course, the easiest way to use a Snickers bar other than simply opening the wrapper and eating it of course is to incorporate it into an artery clogging, heart stopping dessert.

One such dessert is the famous 'Snickers pie' by celebrity chef Anthony Worral-Thompson. This dessert was deemed as lethal by food experts. These experts have issued a health warning on the ill effects of eating just one slice! It must be really good!

Another popular "improvement" to the snickers bar is the famous batter-coated, deep fried version of the bar. Batter-coated, then deep fried: simple, effective, pure genius, just like the bar itself.

Snickers Bar as a Meal Replacement?

No, not really nutritious as a whole meal replacement, I know. If you're in a pinch, on the condition that you promise to eat double your spinach and all of your carrots at the next meal, a bar (or two) will tide you over quite nicely.

Snickers As An Energy Bar!

Yep, The Snickers bar is not just for couch potatoes and sugar addicts, it can also make it's way to the hearts of gym rats to help power through all those intense workouts! Think about it, sugar for a quick boost, peanuts for long lasting energy and nutrients, it's the perfect energy bar if combined with some kind of healthy gym inspired protein shake which will have all of the rest of the good stuff needed in the gym.

Snickers as a Weight Watchers Snack!

For those of you on Weight Watchers, good news! When you need a quick snack, the Snickers bar only has eight points! The whole bar! Now you could always Weight Watcher it up and either halve or quarter it and reduce your points substantially and still enjoy your snack. It is also a good WW snack because it is so filling. If you get the Snickers 2 to Go bar, each mini bar has six points! You could halve each one and enjoy your Snickers bar while still abiding by the system you are on. It is not even considered cheating; however, you could put it towards your weekly cheat points.

Snickers Is the Perfect Food

In conclusion, the Snickers bar is perfect in every way. It is tasty, satisfying, it can be made into the most unhealthy dessert, or incorporated into a healthy lifestyle. From the original bar have spawned other forms... Snickers mini, Snickers bar with peanut butter, almond, dark, Snickers ice cream, and Snickers Duo. The Duo replaced the King size in 2004 to encourage more health conscience decisions. The Duo gives you the option to share your bar or save the other half for later. Genius.

So, hungry? Grab a Snickers.

Aren't Snickers bars the best?!

        Hi Mike, thanks for reading!

As for the snickers bar being sold in two parts, I believe that is only the peanut butter own. The regular bar is still in one piece, at least where I am.

Snickers are now like two turds instead of ONE bar? Fairly impractical to eat it from the wrap without getting muggy. The King's size ONE bar was far better. Goodbye Snickers!

Snickers are awesome...unfortunately, I can rarely indulge because of blood sugar concerns, but aren't those minis just the perfect little cheat?

mmmmmmm........... Snickers! I fell in love with them just recently and I like the classic peanut snicker much better than the almond one; certainly my favorite of the candy bars. All though I must say that the amount of sugar contained in it and the insulin spike it provokes would never be considered healthy in my mind, although one once in a while won’t kill anyone. I can indulge in them without bad consequences because I practice several sports (Tennis, Surf, Swimming) I have a good BMI with lots of muscle and little fat (thanks to resistance training) and I do almost 2 hours of physical activity every day.
