Who Is Adelle Davis?

Let’s All Eat Right Day is celebrated annually in honor of Adelle Davis, born in Lizton, Indiana, on February 25, 1904. She became famous for her passionate promotion of healthy eating and her 10 million copies of various books on the topic. In addition to her role as a nutritionist in major New York institutions, her zeal earned her titles like “queen of optimal eating” and "the most famous nutritionist in the early-to-mid-20th century." Much of her food principles are still being followed today.

Here are 40 quotes to encourage healthy eating on the day when others are making the effort. They all support Davis's teachings. She promoted natural foods for health and fitness, and despised foods that were overly processed and sugary. She deserves to be celebrated for her pioneer efforts in this important field.
