How to Cook Spaghetti, Pasta, or Egg Noodles

Noodles are eaten all over the world. Depending on where you are, however, they are cooked, served, and eaten differently. In South Asian countries, they are usually served as a side dish, but in Europe, they are often enjoyed as a main course for lunch or dinner. For example, spaghetti with meatballs is a popular dish in the West but not in the East.

In the East, egg noodles are often used for chow mein, while pasta and spaghetti are used in salads. When I make chow mein, however, I use spaghetti because I think it works better for this dish.

Chow mein is usually prepared with either chicken or mince. I prefer chicken in my chow mein, so this is the meat that will appear in the recipe below.

When it comes to choosing your pasta, it is important to buy good quality spaghetti. I usually buy either Kolson spaghetti or Bake Parlor spaghetti. Both are good companies, and they also offer a variety of other pastas and noodles.

After buying your spaghetti, it's very important to cook it properly. Use a large pot and fill with water about three-quarters full. Bring the water to a boil. When it's boiling, add a pinch of salt and at least 2 tablespoons of cooking oil, and give the water a good mix.

Now add the spaghetti into the boiling water, and give the noodles a light mix. After every 2 minutes, give the spaghetti a light mix in order to prevent sticking. The spaghetti I use is typically ready after 7 to 8 minutes. Cooking time depends upon the product you are using, but approximately 8 minutes is standard.

Do not boil the noodles until they are 100% cooked; you want to reach a target of 95% cooked. Then you must drain them; otherwise, the noodles will break. After draining, run cold or tap water through the noodles and mix with your hands so that they do not stick together. After giving them a good bath, pour 2 tablespoons of oil and mix again with your hands (or just toss the dish). Try not to use a spoon for this.

This is my method for cooking spaghetti, and I think it's the perfect way to do it. You can also use egg noodles or any other pasta if you wish; that's totally your choice. The cooking process will be same for all.

A Perfect Addition to Your Dining Tables

The recipe is super easy and it also does not involve a long list of ingredients. All ingredients are easily available in any kitchen. The recipe has been an amazing addition to my own dining table. The recipe goes best for your lunch or dinner or for even a party or if some friends come over. You can cook it with your friends.

You can add any other vegetable other than those that are mentioned. Or you can ignore any ingredient if you do not like it. You can add any other sauce of your choice accompanied with these three that are in the ingredients list. I hope you will try this out. You will love it.
