I recently had a hearty meal at a fast-food restaurant and knew that I wouldn't be able to eat everything I ordered—so I decided to save the leftover chicken for my next meal. Saved food means saved money! Let me teach you how I turned my leftovers into a brand-new dish: chicken in mushroom sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 piece Chicken leftover, shredded
  • 1 pack Gravy Mix
  • 1/4 cup Button Mushroom, sliced
  • Garlic, fried (optional)
  • Oil, for cooking

Utensils

For Preparing the Ingredients:

  • Chopping Board
  • Knife
  • 2 bowls (for the ingredients)

For Cooking the Dish:

  • Basting Spoon
  • Pan

Instructions

  1. Shred the leftover chicken and set aside.
  2. Slice button mushrooms and set aside.
  3. Dilute the gravy mix in water according to the packaging instructions.
  4. Heat up the pan with oil. Saute the mushrooms first and then the chicken.
  5. Add the gravy mix and bring it to a boil. Remove from heat when finished.
  6. Serve it as a rice bowl. Sprinkle some fried garlic on top for a satisfying crunch.
