Famous Chicago 'Pizza Pot Pie' Certainly Has People Talking

It's no big secret that Chicago is known for delicious food, and in particular, deep-dish pizza. But one restaurant in the Windy City is famous for taking the concept to a whole new level. Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Company is famous for their pizza pot pie, which is exactly as indulgent as it sounds.

A video showcasing the pizza pot pie was shared on TikTok by @feedingtimetv, and it's creating quite a bit of buzz among people who watched the clip. The video shows exactly how the creative dish is served, and let's just say it's not exactly diet-friendly. Seriously. The amount of cheese oozing out of this thing is enough to make you go weak in the knees. Of course, not everyone is totally sold on pizza in pot pie form. Take a look and see what you think of it.

Ok, while we definitely wouldn't recommend eating this whole thing by yourself (given how full you'd be afterward), it totally looks worth trying, especially if you're a cheese lover. Pizza really doesn't get more cheese-covered than this! Some people were totally blown away by this incredible creation. @Jeffrey Heil can attest that it's delicious, saying, "It’s great. I lived in Chicago for 48 years." Another fan of the video, @Lori Hale Goldman added, "I dream 🛌 of this." (Don't we all, Lori...) And @Slammiches can't wait to try it, saying, "Booking my flight!"

Here's an even closer look at how the pizza pot pie is served.

As for the naysayers? Commenter @C J 11-27 prefers sticking to the classics and said, "Native Chicagoan here, and I’ve never had this and really don’t want to." (You do you.) Another dissenter, @Someone somewhere noted, "Looks like a heart attack." Huh. Can't really argue with that. But still. And we couldn't help but laugh at @Timothy Cash's comment: "Nope. I like pooping." HA!

Whatever side of the fence you're on, you have to admit that this pizza pot pie is pretty impressive. When it comes to Chicago cuisine, what will they think of next?
