Woman’s Strange Recipe for a ‘Healthy Coke’ Has Taken Over TikTok

When it comes to guilty pleasures, sodas are on our list. These carbonated beverages have been around for decades. One of the oldest is Coca-Cola. Coke has been around since May 8, 1886. It was served inside Jacobs’ Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia. Since its debut, the company has gone global. It continues to dominate the soft drink market. That’s impressive for a product that initially sold nine drinks per day.

In a recent TikTok video by content creator @mandyvjones, she shares the recipe for a healthier version of Coca-Cola. Yes, you heard us right! While the video has gained over 5.5M views, people’s opinions are split. But it’s a hot topic at the moment. Everyone on TikTok is making this odd drink!

The recipe did give us pause because of the inclusion of balsamic vinegar. Don’t get us wrong balsamic vinegar is tasty on salads, but we’re not sure we’d want to drink it! Let’s see how TikTok viewers responded. User @Angel said, “Zero chance that tastes like Coke.” User @paige asked, “Have you ever had a Coke?” @ava joked, “This needs to affect your credit score somehow.” Even @TikTok responded with “Elmo: “balsahmic vinegah and spahklin wadda?” But wait, there’s more. Check out the following video to see how far this idea has reached.

Bless @hodaandjenna for taking one for the team. Their facial expressions told us everything we needed to see. Haha! User @Vivienne Loren asked, “Why does anyone think balsamic vinegar will magically turn into Coke?” @Amy Dellisanti-Scott said, “I am glad I seen you guys try it first! I believe you and won’t be trying! Now I promise if you try equal parts Coca-Cola and red wine, it’s delish!” Hmm, that’s an interesting suggestion, @Amy Dellisanti-Scott. But to be safe, we’ll stick to good ole Coke. However, if you try the balsamic vinegar version, let us know your thoughts.
