Have you ever eaten one of those meals that make you wish you had the skills to prepare them at home? Most times, those recipes seem way too complicated to ever recreate in our own kitchens.
This looks absolutely fabulous! We must admit, we rarely make fish at home, but this recipe has inspired us to expand our weekly menu. The marinade is prepared by boiling together, sake, mirin, miso, and sugar. Then, allow the marinade to cool. Easy enough.
Slice the cod and place it in the refrigerator in an air-tight container, covered with the cooled marinade, for 2-3 days. Say what? Wow, we had no idea fish could marinate for so long. No wonder this dish tastes so amazing! Cooking the fish is simple. Pat it dry and pan fry it for 2 minutes on each side, and then finish it in the oven. We had no idea, getting flakey, tasty fish could be this easy!
