Surprising Food on Traditional Japanese Breakfast Menu Has People Intrigued

Each country has its traditions for breakfast. In the U.S., you’ll see us eating hot or cold cereal, a bagel with cream cheese, or eggs, bacon, and toast to help us start the day. If you’re more health-conscious, then a smoothie or fresh fruit might be your breakfast meal. But what about people in other countries? What do they eat for breakfast?

In a recent TikTok video, user @addyroad shows us a glimpse of a traditional Japanese breakfast. It does look appetizing, but not surprisingly, it’s not what Americans would envision as a breakfast food. This might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but some people can’t wait to try it. We’re ready to try this breakfast even though a raw egg might give some people pause. However, we’re sure the eggs in Japan are properly harvested and stored, so they don’t pose any health risks. We understand how you might be confused if you aren’t familiar with Japanese customs. But the traditional Japanese breakfast looks delicious. If you aren’t ready to taste Tamago Kake Gohan, that’s okay. There are other options. But if you’re open-minded, perhaps you’ll find Tamago Kake Gohan is your new favorite dish.
