A Pizza Sauce That Turns Up the Heat

This instant pizza sauce can be prepared in minutes with just a few ingredients. The Szechuan sauce gives it a garlicky bite, while the Tabasco sauce and red chili sauce lend a spicy kick.

Not only is this pizza sauce better than any store-bought brand, since you can control all of the ingredients, but you can also adjust the hotness of the sauce as per your personal taste.

Prepare only as much as you need, when you need it. When the pizza-making mood strikes, you can easily whip up a batch of this instant sauce. Traditional homemade pizza sauce with tomatoes is time-consuming. This recipe cuts out all of the hard work—and in my opinion, tastes better.

Do try it and share your experience.

A bit hot but you can always tone down the heat as per need, Lora. Much better than the store one for sure. Thank you.

Who doesn’t love pizza? Making your own pizza sauce and building your own pizza exactly the way you like it is a great dinner idea. I would opt for tomato sauce rather than ketchup though.

Audrey Hunt from Idyllwild Ca. on September 27, 2020:

Thanks for sharing this recipe. I will add the schezwan sauce. Is it spicy? I always love trying your delicious recipes.

Linda Crampton from British Columbia, Canada on September 27, 2020:

This sounds very tasty and very quick to make. I've never used schezwan sauce before. I'll look for some in my local stores.

Pamela Oglesby from Sunny Florida on September 27, 2020:

I had to look up schezwan sauce, so I might do a little less tabasco sauce to protect my stomach from heartburn, which plagues me sometimes. I would definitely try the pizza sauce that way. Thanks, Rajan.

Peggy Woods from Houston, Texas on September 27, 2020:

I like the idea of making up pizza sauce in smaller amounts as needed instead of having to store an open jar in the refrigerator. Thanks for your recipe.
