Grandma's Afternoon Finger Sandwiches

For years I've been trying to duplicate my grandmother's recipe for this delicious sandwich that I remember eating as a child.

It is the perfect recipe for when you have leftover ham. I've not tried it with canned ham, but I'm sure it would be just as good.

My grandmother made these sandwiches for teatime. She used white bread without the crusts, and she cut each sandwich into four pieces.

This is a good way for people to use up leftovers from Christmas or if they had a ham that was a little overcooked they cook hide it in a ham salad. I’ve never seen a recipe for ham salad. I bet my mom would appreciate this.

Wow, thanks for reminding me. We seem to focus more on chicken salad, and forget about the ham salad. Perfect timing for leftover Christmas ham, too. Thanks, Susan!

This sounds delicious and easy to make. Though, it’s difficult to match the taste of grandmothers.

Thanks for sharing the detailed instructions. Would love to try it.

Perfect! The only way I like ham sandwiches is with chopped ham. Weird, I know, but that's the way I rock n roll. Happy New Year, dear friend.
