Thanks. That's very useful to know.

Hello Liz,

By maintaining a proper cold temperature, you can keep any cold foods including this sandwich spread within 7 days. This is based on US public health standard. But of course, based on my preference is the fresher the spread, the better. So if you can consume all within a day or up to 3 days much greater.

Hi Mary,

Sounds delicious too! I enjoy eggs in salads too. Mimosa salad is one of my favorite salad.

Hello Miebakagh,

Yes, it is so easy. Though it's quite time-consuming to make your own homemade mayonnaise using a whisk, so make sure to own at least a handy hand mixer

Liz Westwood from UK on August 07, 2018:

Great recipe. Once made, how long will the spread keep?

Mary Norton from Ontario, Canada on August 07, 2018:

I remembered this spread well growing up. It is delicious. These days, I prefer to make egg salad and place them in lettuce wraps.

Miebakagh Fiberesima from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, NIGERIA. on August 07, 2018:

Hi, Dred Cuan, the process is much simpler, and the time short. Equally important, the product produced is not comparable to those in the market. Homemade spreads are the best. Thank you.

Hello Eric,

I'll be sharing my recipe for tuna and chicken sandwich spread soon. I really like making my own spread at home. It gives me the freedom to use any ingredients.

Eric Dierker from Spring Valley, CA. U.S.A. on August 06, 2018:

A food from the heart. Tuna or Salmon or Sardine. And it is a meal to behold. My boy can do the whole thing still raises an eyebrow of the yolks.

Hi Pamela!

I like adding an onion with my egg mixture because it give additional taste to the spread. I'm allergic with onions, but would stil prefer to have it as part of my egg sandwich spread. Thanks for dropping by!

Pamela999 on August 06, 2018:

I make egg salad similar to this but without the onion. I will try that next time and check it out. Thanks for the new recipe.
