Avocado Cilantro Cream Dip Recipe

This dip is full of fresh flavor without a lot of work. It's an alternative to guacamole and can sub as a topper, like sour cream or salsa, for Mexican food recipes. It's also great by itself with tortilla chips and provides a cooling accompaniment for my hotter-than-hell salsa. It is super easy to make and adds a great flare to an appetizer spread. This can also be used as a topper of a variety of meats, veggies, and pasta.

  • 1 large avocado, pit and skin removed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp canned hatch chile
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • To taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  1. Put all ingredients into a food processor and puree until smooth.
  2. Refrigerate 1–2 hours to allow for the flavors to combine.
