People Think This Vintage Bread Slicer Has 'Almond Mom' Written All Over It

It’s always fun to see kitchen relics from the past. And this contraption is quite a sight to behold. TikTok content creator @feathers_and_twigs shows us this vintage device in action.

This tool might leave you with several questions. But you also may end up wanting one for yourself.

That’s really something! The gadget she's using would be similar in concept to a modern-day bagel slicer. It's two pieces of metal that are connected along the bottom, with small holes throughout each side. The two pieces lock-in and hold a slice of bread. Once it’s closed, she’s able to run the knife from top to bottom while it keeps the bread firmly in place. When she opens the doors, she now has two thinly sliced perfect pieces of bread. That’s pretty cool. If you’re really watching your calories, this would save you about 45 of them if you were to make a sandwich with this. We have a feeling they used this contraption for homemade bread, long before the store-bought varieties.
